The enriching 2-year collaboration between Muda Africa and Black Box Dance Company (BBDC) from Denmark has just come to an end. The exchange started in 2016 with a performance by BBDC at our Time 2 Dance festival. The company returned to Tanzania in 2017 with their new production FEAR and created duos with the Muda Africa students, which were performed at Nafasi Art Space and the University of Dar es Salaam. In 2018, the final year of exchange, 6 Muda Africa dancers were invited to tour Denmark with their performance CHAIR and our 2016 graduate Alawi Saidi was selected for a 2 month residency with BBDC.
